Coalition to March on the DNC To Have Rally and Appeal Hearing for Its Denied Protest Permit

Who: Coalition to March on the DNC

What: Rally and appeal hearing for denied permit

Where: 400 W. Superior Street, Chicago, IL

When: Wednesday, February 14, 8:30 AM

Why: The Coalition To March on the DNC applied for a permit to exercise its right to march within sight and sound of the Democratic National Convention in August, however, the Chicago Department of Transportation rejected the application. The coalition has since appealed the decision, and the hearing for that appeal will take place Wednesday, February 14 at 400 W. Superior Street in Chicago. Coalition members, supporters, and press will gather at 8:30 AM, and the hearing will begin at 9:00 AM. The coalition has pledged that it will keep fighting until it gets a permit. After all, a permit is important to ensure that the march is as safe, inclusive, and accessible as possible. However, if the coalition doesn’t get a permit, it will still march on the DNC.
